Earl Pearly Paulk's sex scandal

The 80-year-old leader of a suburban Atlanta megachurch is at the center of a sex scandal of biblical dimensions: He slept with his brother’s wife and fathered a child by her. Members of Archbishop Earl Paulk’s family stood at the pulpit of the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit at Chapel Hill Harvester Church a few Sundays ago and revealed the secret exposed by a recent court-ordered paternity test.

Earl Pearly Paulk, Jr. (1927-) is founder of Chapel Hill Harvester Church in Decatur, Georgia; a suburb of Atlanta.

Paulk was born May 30, 1927 to the late Dr. Earl Pearly Paulk, Sr. (former general overseer of the Church of God (Cleveland, Tennessee) and Addie Mae Tomberlin Paulk. At 17, Paulk said he received a call from God to enter ministry, traveling and preaching on the weekends while attending college. He later married Norma Davis. Paulk attended the Candler School of Theology, becoming the first Pentecostal to attend the seminary, which was predominantly Methodist.

There have been many sex scandals swirling around Paulk for many years. Two of the more prominent scandals involved Cindy Hall and Mona Brewer.

In truth, this is not the first—or even the second—sex scandal to engulf Paulk and the independent, charismatic church. But this time, he could be in trouble with the law for lying under oath about the affair.

The living proof of that lie is 34-year-old D.E. Paulk, who for years was known publicly as Earl Paulk’s nephew…. D.E. Paulk said he did not learn the secret of his parentage until the paternity test. “I was disappointed, and I was surprised,” he said.

Unexplained Research

Not sure why suddenly there is a popular search for the term "unexplained research", but from a website of www.unexplainedresearch.com, interestingly they actually classified those "unexplained research" of the real-life x files into a few categories:

• Spectrology - is the scientific study of ghosts; ghostology.
  
• Cryptozoology - is the scientific study of hidden animals (e.g., Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, Chupacabras).
  
• Cereology - is the scientific study of crop circles.
  
• UFOLOGY - is the scientific study of unidentified flying objects.
  
• Anomalous Phenomena Research - is the scientific study of natural phenomena that deviate from the normal.

I believed there are too many phenomenas that really remains "unexplained" even we have tried to link them to so many scientific explainations.

There must be some hidden force or power somewhere that beyond our knowledge and control.

Personally, I'm not sure if doing too much of "unexplained research" would be beneficial to us as we are trying to disturb "things" that are not belong in our territory?

Legs in the air - Kyla Ebbert

CHICAGO, Nov. 16 (UPI) -- The passenger who was nearly booted off a U.S. flight because her attire was too sexy has posed for a nude pictorial and video feature for Playboy.com.

When Kyla Ebbert, 23, boarded a Southwest Airlines flight at San Diego's Lindberg Field this summer, a Southwest employee asked her to change her outfit -- a mini-skirt, a sweater over a tank top and high heels -- or get off the plane going to Tucson.

Ebbert didn't have anything to change into, so she adjusted her outfit and covered up with a blanket and the Southwest employee left her alone.

The story made headlines and Ebbert found herself modeling her in-flight outfit on "The Today Show," "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and "Dr. Phil."


Since when did Southwest Airlines start applying a fashion test to determine whether passengers could fly on their planes?

Joe Nuxhall passed away at age 79

Just less than 24 hours ago we were baffling with the news of the famous drummer Travis Barker dead in a garage... and now we heard the news of another famous person passed away...

Joe Nuxhall, whose name is synonymous with baseball in Cincinnati, has died, the Hamilton Journal-News reported Friday.

Nuxhall, 79, was pronounced dead about 11 p.m. Thursday at Mercy Fairfield Hospital, the paper reported. He had been hospitalized for several days for pneumonia and was scheduled to have a pacemaker implanted. Nuxhall also suffered from non-Hodgkins lymphoma.

The "Ol' Lefthander," as he was known, was born in Hamilton in 1928. He became the youngest player ever to appear in a Major League Baseball game in 1944 when, at age 15, he pitched part of an inning for the Cincinnati Reds. Nuxhall played most of his major league career with the Reds, retiring in 1967.

At that point, Nuxhall began working as a baseball sportscaster, a career he pursued for 37 years. He and Marty Brennaman became the mainstay, and much beloved, radio broadcasting team for the Reds.

Nuxhall retired in 2004, but still called some games as a guest sportscaster. He is survived by his wife, and two sons.

Travis Barker Found Dead in a Garage?

Shocking title in Google Hot Trends today is "Travis Barker Dead"!!!???

Travis Landon Barker (born November 14, 1975) is an American drummer, who achieved most of his fame by drumming for the band blink-182. He is currently the drummer for +44 and has also played for side projects Box Car Racer, Transplants and Expensive Taste.

According to about 15 different MySpace bulletins in the past 10 minutes I have read, it seems as if Travis Barker (Blink-182 & Plus 44 drummer) is dead. He is one of the greatest drummers in history.

Last night on November 13th famous drummer Travis Barker was found dead in his garage. “He was found in his garage coming home from a dinner/award ceremony.” said reporter Tom Burry.

Investigators are not sure of how Former +44 drummer yet died or they are not telling the public the full truth yet.

Travis’s wifes exact words “everyone in the world has someone special who has died in there life. Maybe it hasn’t happen yet but please pray for Travis and my family. I would appreciate it and whoever did this to Travis is a sick! man.”

The owner told Salem-News that this isn't the first time he has been witness to something that defied explanation.

(PARMA, Ohio) - Could an Ohio gas station be built atop an old Indian burial ground? That's what one man says in Parma, Ohio, an incorporated city southwest of Cleveland, where a gas station owner caught something he wasn't at all trying for. A security camera caught a blue ghost on video, and it seems to be in no apparent hurry; the recording lasted half an hour. It is not clear exactly how many people have observed this phenomena, or if its origin is truly from a Native American resting place.

It is known that between 1950 and 1980, Parma's population soared from less than 20,000 to more than 110,000. That could perhaps account for quick development and even possibly, the paving of a burial ground.

"I actually watched it for 30 minutes and then actually I watched it move and that is when I got freaked out," said the Marathon Gas Station's owner, Ameed Abuzahrieh.

He says this was the first time an image of that nature was recorded, but he told Salem-News that this is not the first time he has been witness to something that defied explanation. The first time was when he was a small boy growing up in Palestine.

"It was a nice time, my brothers and cousins and I were outside at night and we saw this thing come out of an old house and go stand by a tree. It was all in white and it went to the tree and stood there for about a minute, then disappeared."

I asked Mr. Abuzahrieh if the apparition from his childhood memory resembled the image his station camera recorded, and he said what he saw in his native Palestine as a child was different, "No this looked like a person, only in white" he added. The image recorded by the gas station camera, however ghostly, lacks the human description he recalled from the childhood event.

But what the heck is it?

I can say after spending twenty years in TV news, that the blue image is not easily explained.

Some people in the area are convinced that the image is a blue balloon or garbage bag, but others have a more grand notion of what floated around his station that night, according to the owner.

"It has many people coming here. A lot of people come in and tell me its an angel".

Mr. Abuzahrieh said his 18-year old nephew passed away three weeks before the video was recorded. He fell from the 11th floor of a 12-story building in the Cincinnati area. He says that his family is still very saddened by the loss on October 9th. He declined to speculate whether there could be a connection between his nephew's tragic death and the ghostly blue image moving about the gas station.

Oh, and one more thing, the blue ghostly presence recorded on video was reportedly visible to the naked eye as well. So far there has only been one occurrence, the blue light that many people believe is a ghost or angel, was recorded leaving the property.

"Ghost" Like Figure Haunts Ohio?

Haunting surveillance video from an Ohio gas station has the owner and the locals talking.

The store owner was at the counter when something strange caught his eye on the security monitor.

It was a mysterious blue cloud like figure floating in the air out by the gas pumps. The owner said the blue cloud floated there for a half hour, flew around a bit, and then disappeared. It really freaked the owner out because he said he thinks it was a ghost.

No one knows for sure what the blue figure really was, but that doesn’t stop people from speculating. Some think it’s an angel, others think the station is on an Indian burial ground.

Whatever it was, it sure gives off an eerie feeling because you can’t help but think it was a ghost.

BOSTON -- World Against Toys Causing Harm held its annual news conference in Boston, Massachusetts Tuesday to show some of the most dangerous toys they found on the market this holiday season. The group argues that the government doesn't do enough to ensure that toymakers sell safe toys.

The group says its list tries to highlight toys with clear hazards. This year that includes Sticky Stones, which are magnetized rocks that can stick together in the intestines.

The group also warns that Jack Sparrow's Spinning Dagger, based on the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, could cause serious eye injuries.

Another toy, the Spider-Man 3 New Goblin Sword, isn't supposed to be jabbed at people, but the group says it's marketed so that kids do exactly that.
